Alpine F1 Team has confirmed the immediate resignation of Team Principal Oliver Oakes, with veteran motorsport figure Flavio Briatore stepping in to assume his responsibilities.

The announcement follows a difficult weekend at the Miami Grand Prix, where Alpine driver Jack Doohan retired on the opening lap and Pierre Gasly finished outside the points. In a short statement, the team expressed gratitude for Oakes’ contributions, particularly in helping Alpine secure 6th place in the 2025 Constructors’ Championship.
“As of today, Flavio Briatore will continue as Executive Advisor and will also be covering the duties previously performed by Oliver Oakes,” the statement read.
No further comments have been issued by the team at this time.
Fans and insiders will no doubt be watching closely as Briatore returns to a more direct operational role, raising questions about Alpine’s direction heading into the second half of the season.
